COLLECTIVE cleaning activities were carried out at a football ground and an gymnasium in Kinmawl Ward, Falam, yesterday morning as part of activities to mark Myanmar Police Force Day.
Local police personnel, departmental officials and residents took part in the cleaning. Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thant Zaw Lwin, together with the Chin State Minister for Natural Resources and members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, inspected and encouraged the work.
In the afternoon, the deputy minister inspected renovation and construction work on government offices and staff housing in Falam, including the Falam District Immigration and Population Department office, District Audit Office and Township General Administration Department office.
Meanwhile, collective cleaning activities were also carried out in Tiddim District. Local officials, security personnel, departmental staff, ward development committee members and residents cleaned areas including Lwebwa Ward, a Basic Education affiliated Middle School, roadsides along Kanhauk Road and the old market.
