Employers, workers urged to cooperate amid false information

 

Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe urged employers and workers to cooperate in maintaining factory operations, workplace stability and employment opportunities, while remaining aware of false information being spread by persons residing abroad with the aim of reducing factory orders and causing closures and job losses.

The Union minister made the remarks at a coordination meeting held at Kanaung Hall in Hlinethaya (East) Township yesterday.

He said the Ministry of Labour is closely monitoring the situation to help ensure stable employment and peaceful workplaces. The employers should address workers’ rights and concerns, and the employees also should follow workplace rules and cooperate to prevent the loss of orders.

He also said that resolving issues through dialogue between employers and workers would help maintain long-term workplace stability. Representatives of employers, workers and industrial zones also raised current difficulties, and the Union minister coordinated the discussion.
