MYANMAR’S rising equestrian athlete Poe Poe Han was honoured on 9 August after winning a silver medal at the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Cup CSIJ-B equestrian competition.
Held
in Malaysia from 24 to 26 July, the event featured 17 competitors from 14
countries, with Poe Poe Han finishing second.
At
a ceremony held at the Myanmar Equestrian Federation Clubhouse in Dagon Myothit
(North) Township, federation President U Pyone Maung Maung presented a
photograph and a plaque commemorating Poe Poe Han’s achievement for display in
the MEF Hall of Fame. The family of President U Pyone Maung Maung and Academy
Award winner Khin Thida Tun also awarded her K7.4 million in scholarships and
financial support for the 2027-2029 academic years.
Team
captain Chan Myae Win, head coach Ei Thet Mon and assistant coach Aung Thu Tun
also received certificates and gifts. In addition, the assistant coach was
awarded K1 million in recognition of his contribution.
