Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win, who accompanied President U Min Aung Hlaing on his official visit to Belarus, met Belarusian Minister of Health Mr Aliaksandr Khajayeu at Belarusian State Medical University at 4:30 pm local standard time yesterday.
During
the meeting, the two health ministers held extensive discussions on potential
cooperation in the health sector between the two countries. They also observed
academic programmes for students at Belarusian State Medical University and
visited its hospitals.
Located
in Minsk, Belarusian State Medical University is one of the country’s oldest
and major medical universities. It is listed with the World Health Organization
(WHO) and recognized by international medical councils. The university also
provides direct instruction in medicine and dentistry in English for
international students.
