MSWRR Union Minister receives UNOCHA Myanmar Head

 

UNION Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win received Mr Justin Brady, Head of Office for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and his delegation yesterday afternoon.

Both sides exchanged views on the implementation of the Letter of Agreement (LoA) signed between the Disaster Management Department of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and UNOCHA, the humanitarian assistance carried out by the Ministry, and cooperation with the Rehabilitation Department under the Ministry regarding mine action plans.

The meeting was attended by the directors-general, the deputy permanent secretary, relevant officials and representatives from the UNOCHA office.
