Deputy Minister for Construction U Myo Myint, together with members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, inspected healthcare facilities, banking services and public offices in Falam, Chin State.
During
the visit to the temporary public hospital in Phahtauk Ward, Falam, officials
reviewed the hospital’s preparations, installation of a mobile operating
theatre, water and electricity availability, possible expansion plans,
laboratory equipment, medical supplies, treatment services and medicine storage
facilities.
The
deputy minister said the government is providing necessary medical equipment
and medicines for the hospital in a timely manner. He also met with outpatients
and inpatients, encouraged them and provided required laboratory equipment and
medicines to the hospital administrator.
The
temporary public hospital, operated by the hospital administrator and 84 health
workers, has provided medical treatment to 1,424 patients. In addition,
township public hospitals in Tiddim, Tonzang and Falam have provided healthcare
services to 13,677 patients with the support of 285 doctors and health workers,
with medical equipment and medicines already supplied.
The
delegation later inspected the Falam branch of Myanma Economic Bank to review
banking services for the public and staff operations. They also met with
officials from the One-Stop Shop, township administrative office and local
administrators to discuss ongoing public service activities.
