Deputy Minister for Construction U Myo Myint, together with members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, inspected the Haka-Falam Road section and attended a relief assistance handover ceremony in Falam, Chin State.
During the road
inspection, the deputy minister instructed officials to prioritize repairs and
maintenance of damaged roads and bridges, improve drainage during the rainy
season and take preventive measures against landslides and road closures in the
mountainous area.
He later attended a
ceremony at Falam City Hall to assist people who had returned home after
displacement.
The government supplied
relief items, including 16 essential household items and food supplies, to 200
returning households to support the restoration of their daily lives. U Myo
Myint also coordinated responses to their needs and encouraged the returnees,
according to reports.
