Four fuel tankers docked at the Thilawa International Port in Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region on 26 July. The Ministry of Electricity and Energy is carrying out inspections along the supply chain, monitoring fuel bowsers, and taking enforcement actions.
The imported fuel oil has been inspected and verified to meet the required quality standards. Offloading operations are now underway to transfer the fuel into storage tanks at the respective terminals.
The ministry is working to ensure a continuous supply of imported fuel and to prevent shortages at fuel stations, supervising the distribution channels and scrutinizing fuel stations to verify real demand and authentic purchase orders.
