Basic and advanced maritime training courses of Tatmadaw (Navy) started at the same time in the respective townships on 27 April to develop the knowledge of the young generation during the summer school holidays and to bring forth a future generation of young people with maritime and aviation expertise.
Yesterday, the closing
event of the basic and advanced maritime youth training course 1/2026 was
organized at Pobbathiri Gymnasium in Nay Pyi Taw Command Headquarters with the
attendance of Union Minister for Youth Affairs Dr Maung Thin, Commander-in-Chief
(Navy) Admiral Htein Win and other officials.
The Commander-in-Chief
(Navy) remarked and awarded the outstanding trainees.
In the afternoon, the
trainees, instructors and officials paid homage to the Maravijaya Buddha Image.
The youth training course 1/2026 was conducted at 13 training camps with 800
trainees. The training offered various subjects and practical sessions with two
naval vessels, Aung Zeya and Kyansittha, camping activities, competitions, and
an excursion in Yangon.
Similarly, the closing
event of the basic aviation youth course 10 and the advanced aviation youth
course 9 of Tatmadaw (Air) was conducted in Nay Pyi Taw, and Commander-in-Chief
(Air) Lt-Gen Tun Win and relevant officials attended the event.
The Commander-in-Chief
(Air) remarked and awarded the outstanding trainees.
The basic aviation
youth course 10 was conducted at 18 training camps with 928 trainees offering
different subjects, while the advanced aviation youth course 9 opened at two
training camps with 116 trainees delivering different subjects, including a
practical flying session of RC flight and a helicopter.
Arrangements will be
made for the trainees to join the excursions in Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon.
