Learning lessons from the mistakes and shortcomings of the past year and continuing to strive so that good things may flourish in the New Year is a responsibility of human life.

The Myanmar people, who possess a great cultural tradition, follow the teachings of religion and noble traditions. With unity of spirit, may the people achieve great success in various fields. On this New Year occasion, I offer my New Year wishes that all people of Myanmar may enjoy peace of mind and good health, remain united with one heart and one spirit, and be able to serve the interests of the country.
