State Administration Council Member, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye, in his capacity as Chairman of the Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants, attended the 2/2025 coordination meeting of the central body in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the meeting, the General said that a total of 11 batches
of the People’s Military Service Training have been completed to date, and the
trainees are actively and dutifully serving in national defence and security
measures. Moreover, some were awarded honorary medals and certificates for
their outstanding performance.
He continued that the officials from different levels should
be under the People’s Military Service Law, rules and procedures to be
supervised strictly, and instructed the need for the ward and village
administrative bodies, township administrative bodies to supervise against
financial fraud and corruption.
He highlighted the National Service Information Management
System (NSIMS) developed by Supporting Task Force for IT Technology and Data
Recording related to People’s Military Service, and the need to summon those
who received exemption, reduction and temporary suspension permits by the Nay
Pyi Taw Council and Region/State Committees for Summoning People’s Military
Servants.

Swa Lin, who is vice-chair of the central body, members of the central body and
Nay Pyi Taw, Region/State committees’ chairmen and officials reported on the
matters related to the military training.
