Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, who is chairman of the Committee on the Development of a Resilient and Strong Social Community, accompanied by Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, inspected the work processes for a resilient and strong social community in Nyaungdon, Pantanaw and Maubin townships yesterday.
On
arrival at the Knowledge Centre in Nyaungdon Township, Ayeyawady Region, the
Union minister and party watched the demonstration of seedlings using Drum
Seeder, provided drum seeders and MRTV DTH receivers to the farmers.
Speaking
at the event, the Union minister highlighted the role of a resilient and strong
social community for safety, progress in the vocational sector, better
healthcare services and resilience for natural disasters.
He
proceeded to the Asia Thar fish farming company and inspected the fish and meat
production processes.
He
went to the Sai Thiha broiler farm in Maubin Township. The farm was developed
with 12,000 broilers in 2015, and expanded to 24,000 broilers starting from
2016. In 2019, the farm was upgraded into a cold storage farm and has bred 155,000
to date, creating job opportunities for locals.
The
Union minister and the chief minister went to Shwe Naga Min Company on the
Yangon-Pathein highway in Maubin, and general manager U Zaw Min explained the
work processes.
On
arrival at Mingalar library, the Union minister donated K1 million, MRTV DTH
receivers, public science treatises for the library, and the chief minister
donated K1 million, and the librarian received the donations.
On
arrival at Htoo Htet Han Company’s pig breeding farm with a 6,500-pig
population. The farm was initiated in 2022 and produced 1.854 million visses in
2025.
The
Union minister proceeded to the U Thant Library in Pantanaw Township, and he
donated the Glass Palace Chronicle of the Kings of Myanmar donated by SAC
Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu
Hla, K1 million, two MRTV DTH receivers, public science treatises and other
books, and the chief minister donated K1 million for the library, and the
librarian received the donations.
