State Administration Council Vice-Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and his wife Daw Than Than Nwe paid respect to two Independence Mawgun Award second-class recipients and one Independence Mawgun Award third-class recipient, totalling three who are attending the 80th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day parade by hosting a tea party at the hall of Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The
Vice-Senior General and wife, the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and
Air) and wife, and senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the
Commander-in-Chief asked about the health conditions of the awardees in
individuals and presented fortified edible bird nests and cash assistance.
The
Vice-Senior General and his wife joined the tea party together with the
Independence Mawgun award recipients.
On the
occasion, Independence Mawgun Award third-class recipient U Aye Thein, aged 97;
Independence Mawgun Award second-class recipient U Ba Chaw, 97; and
Independence Mawgun Award second-class recipient U Kyaw Sein, 100; expressed
their good health conditions and recounted their experiences in fighting
against Japanese fascists with patriotic and national spirits.
