False reports read 200 locals fled Paukkhaung after attack

 

MISINFORMATION is spreading online, saying that over 200 locals in Paukkhaung Township, Bago Region, were forced to flee their villages after heavy weapon attacks by the Tatmadaw on 10 March.

A security official from Paukkhaung Township said there were no such attacks on innocent villagers. Security forces are working with locals to protect the area, especially where insurgents are active. False reports are circulated by misleading media.
