THE Ministry of Transport and Communications’ Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) organized its 15th blood donation event yesterday at the 1,000-bed General Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw. The event saw Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo, deputy ministers and officials who encouraged the donors.
A
total of 45 employees from the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Nay
Pyi Taw along with other voluntary donors participated in the blood donation.
The Deputy Prime Minister, deputy ministers and officials also gave food and
medical supplies to the donors.
Following
the donations, Deputy Minister for Health Dr Aye Tun presented certificates of
appreciation to the donors, while General Mya Tun Oo handed over commemorative
gifts.
MPT
held its 15th blood donation event simultaneously at hospitals and blood banks
in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Taunggyi, Pathein and Dawei, with a
total of 320 donors participating across all locations.
