Sitagu Sayadaw attends Asia Buddhist Summit 2024 in India

 

At the invitation of the International Buddhist Confederation, Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Sitagu Sayadaw attended the First Asia Buddhist Summit 2024, held at Asoka Hotel in New Delhi, India, yesterday morning.

The purpose of the meeting was to spread the teachings of the Buddha around the world. A total of 1,000 religious leaders, professors, and scholars from more than 30 countries attended the ceremony.

Sitagu Sayadaw first opened the ceremony by offering flowers and lighting candles. Afterwards, venerable Sayadaws discussed the recognition of Pali as a classical Indian language. The ceremony came to an end in the evening.
