Security forces accused of burning homes in Indaw

 

MALICIOUS news media spread false information, claiming that security forces burned and destroyed houses in Indaw Township, Sagaing Region.

A security official clarified that these allegations are baseless and part of a misinformation campaign by insurgents. According to the official, the destruction in towns and villages within the township results from terrorists entering these areas and initiating clashes, causing damage. Security forces are taking necessary security measures in the township to prevent further incursions by terrorists.

The official also noted that these malicious reports aim to distort public perceptions and undermine trust in security operations. Security forces have not burned or destroyed houses in the township, contrary to the propaganda. Instead, terrorists have reportedly set fire to villages that do not support their activities.
