MYANMAR’S first-ever Pet Charity Show was showcased at the Myanmar Pet Expo 2024, held at Fortune Plaza in Thakayta Township, Yangon, as reported by the Myanmar Kennel Club, organizers of the event.
The Expo ran from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on 2 and 3 November and featured a range of activities, including free pet health education seminars, a dog fashion show, a grooming show, live training demonstrations, and educational talks. The event exhibited around 50 dogs and other pets, with special segments introducing reptiles, various bird species, and diverse cat breeds.
The Expo also includes an International Dog Show with participating breeds from across the region, represented by dog breeds associated with notable figures from Candy Liu (Chinese Taipei), Simon Sim (the Philippines), Jongmin Lee (South Korea), and Somsak Taechapeti (Thailand). Attendees enjoy free admission for pets and have access to facilities like playgrounds, photo booths, pet spas, clinics, and stalls offering feed and medical supplies.
