A delegation led by Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin attended the third World Oil and Natural Gas Conference in Xi’an, China, on 7 November and also visited the 9th World Oil and Natural Gas Expo.
At the conference, the Union minister highlighted Myanmar’s promising oil and gas projects, its existing pipeline infrastructure, and ongoing upgrades to oil refineries and fertilizer plants. He mentioned that the World Bank has approved locations for constructing oil ports and LNG terminals in Myanmar, presenting significant investment opportunities.
The Union Minister also contributed to the conference discussions on the theme “Let’s Building a Bridge Between the Middle East, Africa, and China through Myanmar”. Following the conference, he and other delegation members explored exhibits at the 9th World Oil and Gas Expo.
