False reports claim youths in Myittha forced into military service

Malicious news media outlets are spreading false information regarding the alleged forced conscription of four youths from Yoekan and Yikan villages in Myittha Township, Mandalay Region, for military services on 2 November. According to these reports, families were informed that if the youths did not wish to serve, they would need to pay K5 million for them to be released.

However, security forces in Mandalay Region clarified that these reports were false. They stated that conscription for military services is conducted in compliance with established laws and guidelines, with relevant organizations properly structured to oversee this process. Certain individuals and subversive media outlets propagate these misleading narratives to cause confusion among the public regarding the situation.
