CHAIRMAN of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla yesterday evening watched the Maha Zanaka Drama contest of the 25th Anniversary (Silver Jubilee) Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition 2024 at the open-air theatre of the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee.
The Senior General, his wife, and his entourage enjoyed performances by the Min Naing Soe theatrical troupe representing Mon State in the Maha Zanaka Drama contest.
After the competition, the Senior General and his wife warmly greeted the maestros and contestants.
Also present at the competition were SAC Member General Maung Maung Aye and his wife, Union ministers and their wives, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman, deputy ministers, members of the panel of judges, and contestants together with cadets who arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on their excursion tours, staff and their families.
The Maha Ayeyar troupe from Ayeyawady Region, the Phankhamyay troupe from Magway Region, and the Min Naing Soe troupe from Mon State participated in the Maha Zanaka Drama contest from 14 to 16 October. Drama troupes from Mandalay, Yangon, Bago and Sagaing regions will also compete on 17-20 October.
