Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the work processes at MRTV in Yangon and watched the fundraising charity show ‘Kunyi Kan Sat Gita Lat Phyit’ for flood victims yesterday.
At the
reception hall of MRTV, the Union minister, who is also Chairman of the Working
Committee on Organizing the Opening and Closing Events, received a K15 million
cash donation from Trusty Pay Company for a Mascot to be used at the opening
ceremony of the fifth National Sports Festival that will take place in December
2024.
The Union
minister then inspected the filming process at Studio 1, the installation of
new lighting and testing, and MTV shootings of two songs for the multiparty
general election at Studio 2. During the visit, he donated cash awards to the
participants.
He observed
the building to be used as the office for temporary MRTV and broadcasting
council in the MRTV compound and office rental of Borderless Broadcast Co Ltd,
partner of MRTV.
At noon, he
enjoyed the kid-friendly game show at Studio A and gave presents to the
children who participated in the show.
In the
evening, he watched the fundraising charity show for flood victims organized by
the Myanmar Music Association (Central) at the National Theatre in Yangon.
The event
was also attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, regional
ministers, the Russian Ambassador to Myanmar, the China Culture Centre in
charge, patrons and chairpersons of the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization,
music and theatrical associations, invitees, and music lovers.
After the
show, the Russian Ambassador to Myanmar and MKCS Co Ltd officials donated cash
to the Union Minister and Yangon Region Chief minister.
The
fundraising event will be broadcast via MRTV NRC, Farmers Channel, MRTV
Application, Radio MRTV, MRTV Telegram, 5Plus, MRTV-4 Ethnic Channel, Hey Play
TV channel, and the replay will be from MRTV HD, Channel 7 HD, Fortune HD,
Channel K, YTV and Mahar HD channel.
