Fake claims on census expenses in Pathein denied

 

MALICIOUS media outlets falsely reported that money was collected in certain villages of Hainggyikyun, Ngaputaw Township in Pathein District to provide food and entertainment for census enumerators.

When asked about the issue, an official from the township administration body clarified that the 2024 census is being conducted smoothly as part of a national effort. The data collection, which began on 1 October, involves relevant teams and encourages active public participation. However, the subversive media outlets are spreading these false claims in an attempt to undermine public cooperation with the government and create misunderstandings.
