MALICIOUS media outlets fabricated false news claiming that over 70 youths were arrested by the township administration body in Yenangyoung Township, Magway Region, to recruit them for the People’s Military Service Training, which started in October.
Regarding the news, a relevant official stated that it was false. Security forces conducted security measures in the town, checking various locations and patrolling in cooperation with the responsible public. The conscription law is effective under the legal framework. The false claims circulated by subversive media outlets aim to mislead the public and sow anxiety. These misleading reports deliberately spread propaganda to disrupt peace and stability in the town.
