U Aye Kyu Lay, the Vice-Chairman of the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization, has announced the ongoing selection process for receptionists for the 2023 Myanmar Academy Awards event.
Following the distribution of application forms from 1 to 15 December, interviews were conducted on 17 December, resulting in the first preliminary selection of 97 candidates from a pool of 300 applicants. Among them, 56 receptionists have been chosen for the next stage.
U Aye Kyu Lay stated, “We have already selected 56 receptionists from the second stage of the preliminary pool of 97 candidates, and we are set to choose the finalists on 28 December. Ten male and ten female receptionists will be selected as finalists for the upcoming Myanmar Academy Awards event in 2023.”
The judging panel for the selection includes experienced senior actors and actresses such as Academy Yan Aung, Academy Ye Aung, Academy Khant Si Thu, Academy Aung Khine, Academy May Than Nu, and Academy Soe Myat Thuzar.
In preparation for the Academy Awards ceremony, the names of actors and actresses from movies shown in cinemas during 2023 and the names of the respective movie producers were requested by the 8 December deadline. Nay Pyi Taw will host the 2023 Myanmar Academy Awards Ceremony.
