UNION Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe, who is in Kazan, Russian Federation, visited the Old Tatar Sloboda on the morning of 9 June with other guests.
Then, the Union minister attended a luncheon hosted by Russian Education Minister Mr Sergey Sergeevich Kravstov at IT Park.
During the lunch, education ministers and representatives from various countries shared their experiences, discussed good results of cooperation and exchanged opinions. Union Minister Dr Nyunt Pe took part in the discussions by saying that the theme “Shaping the Future” reminds us that education plays a major role in shaping our societies and the world.
He also highlighted that in Myanmar, every school-age child will have to complete at least KG+9; students who complete KG+9 can attend high schools with vocational courses opened in 50 districts; that will support the country's small and medium-sized businesses; that universities with world-class curricula teaching will produce qualified graduates; that it is necessary to promote cooperation between Myanmar universities and partner universities; that the future of education is in the hands of policymakers, teachers, parents and students; that these groups play a key role in shaping the future of education in a rapidly changing world.
Afterwards, Russian Education Minister Mr Sergey Sergeevich Kravstov went into further discussions with the education ministers and representatives from various countries before taking the documentary group photo.
In the evening, the Union minister attended a farewell dinner at Pashmir Restaurant.
