Tatmadaw senior officers, officials oversee rehabilitation work in Rakhine State

 

UNDER Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law, the State Administration Council declared the areas damaged by Cyclone Mocha as areas affected by natural disasters and appointed senior military officers to carry out rehabilitation activities in the areas mentioned in the announcement.

Lt-Gen Lu Aye, currently in Kyaukpyu in Rakhine State along with officials inspected the cleaning process at No 3 Basic Education High School and the selling of foodstuffs at low prices to locals.

Maj-Gen Aung Myo Tun, currently in Rathedaung, provided tarpaulins, roofs, and foodstuffs to locals at the front of the warehouse of the Township Administration Department. Then, he donated rice and tarpaulins to monasteries in Rathedaung.
