Tatmadaw (Air) continues delivering foodstuffs, aid to Rakhine State

 

RELIEF aid and food items con­tributed by the families of Tat­madaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers, and relief supplies provided by the National Disas­ter Management Committee to local communities affected by Cyclone Mocha in Rakhine State are being transported by Tat­madaw aircraft and helicopter.

 A total of 3.382 tonnes of rice, onions, dried fish and canned fish donated by the families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers were delivered from Yangon International Air­port to Sittway Airport by plane of Tatmadaw (Air) yesterday.

A total of 3,422 Tatmadaw members and departmental staff who will help in rehabilitation work and 539.6 tonnes of sup­plies were helicoptered to the storm-battered areas.

Officials in the respective areas received relief items and will distribute them to storm vic­tims. — MNA/KZW
