THE Ministry of Transport and Communications released a statement that the people must not go fishing off and along Myanmar coasts and if they do not follow the instruction, they will face legal action. Starting noon on 12 May, fishing vessels, boats, and ships must no go off and along Myanmar coasts and they will be taken action if they fail to follow the directives.
A very severe Cyclone Mocha over the Bay of Bengal has become a very powerful cyclonic storm on the morning of 12 May and it is likely to cross Myanmar coasts near Sittway Township during the next 48 hours, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications also warns that the wind speed in squall may reach 130 miles per hour and the wave height may reach 13 ft to 16 ft, and it is a dangerous condition for fishing vessels/boats/ships. The authorities also urged the vessels off and along Myanmar coasts to make necessary preparations in advance.
