DEPUTY Minister for Information U Ye Tint inspected the newly constructed the Community Centre and Library of Pantanaw IPRD in Pantanaw Township on 10 May.
At noon, he visited the Einme IPRD Office and Myaungmya District office and instructed the officials staff to conduct an awareness campaign and information release in a timely manner.
Then, he met with the Ayeyawady Region Ethnic Affairs Minister U Saw Lin Khel, Myaungmya District and Township administrators and members, staff, and village and ward administrators at the Myaungmya Township General Administration Department. During the meeting, he highlighted the storm preventive measures, support to storm evacuees from Laputta, educating programmes and covering of news in a timely manner.
He then paid homage to a member of the Central State Sangha Working Committee Agga Maha Pandita Alel Tawya Sayadaw Bhaddanta Pannasiha at Alel Tawya Monastery and comforted the students who attended the basic Buddhist ethics multiplier training launched by the General Administration Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The multiplier course will be conducted from 8 to 12 May and a total of 240 students joined it.
Then, the deputy minister and party went to a temporary shelter for storm evacuees on Myasein Hill and comforted 960 evacuees. He handed over K500,000 donated by the Ministry of Information for storm evacuees to the in charge of temporary shelter.
