Knowledge-sharing seminar on nuclear energy for Myanmar media held

 

IN accordance with the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation to achieve positive public opinion on nuclear energy” signed between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the State Atomic Energy Corporation of the Russian Federation “Rosatom” to cooperate for the purpose of peaceful use of nuclear energy, the knowledge-sharing seminar on nuclear energy for Myanmar media was held at the Nuclear Technology Information Centre in Hlaing Township, Yangon, yesterday morning.

Permanent Secretary Dr Sai Kyaw Naing Oo of the Ministry of Science and Technology and officials, representatives from “ROSATOM” of the Russian Federation, officials from the Ministry of Information and local Myanmar media representatives attended the seminar.

An official of the Nuclear Technology Information Centre and the Chief Editor of the Strana Rosatom news agency explained the facts about nuclear technology and nuclear power and they replied to the questions raised by the media.
