THE government emphasizes sending outstanding students to foreign countries for further studies, said State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the meeting with outstanding students for the 2022-23 academic year at the Myanmar International Convention Centre-II in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
In his address, the Senior General
said that nurturing the educational outstanding students to become human
resources endowed with high talent and knowledge with health and fitness,
industrious efforts, good morale, high morality, politeness and patriotic
spirit can be defined as laying the sound foundations for the future State.
The Senior General noted that the
outstanding student project for the 2022-23 academic year was implemented for
turning out of outstanding students with health and fitness and high morality,
good and able citizens capable of participating in the welfare tasks of the
State with interest in the educational development tasks and nurturing
outstanding students as models for all students.
This academic year, the Senior
General said that a total of 160 outstanding students were turned out in the
eighth standard, 160 more students in the tenth standard and 158 in the 11th
standard, totalling 478 and they will be sent to outstanding student camps in
Bagan, Taunggyi and Ngwesaung respectively.
Camping for the students aims to have
friendly relations with outstanding students from regions and states to each
other and exchange knowledge, traditional culture and customs to forge a
national spirit to adore the State and the nationality.
The government is encouraging
outstanding student projects as well as youth programmes to nurture students to
become good leaders for the State, culture their spirit to serve the public
interests and become new generation youths with physical and mental morality.
The student youths are expected to
become good leaders of the State in the future. The government emphasizes
sending outstanding students to foreign countries for further studies. Hence,
students need to strive for having high qualifications in their relevant
subjects.
Students need to avoid narcotic drugs
which threaten their health and development. They have to improve their
capacity, efficiently apply the Internet to seek knowledge and take care of
their health conditions.
The Senior General stressed the need
to build a perpetual State with high intelligence and initiatives of the
citizens with national spirit and high morality.
Students must be good pupils and
strive to become disciplined good leaders, said the Senior General.
On behalf of the outstanding students,
double outstanding student Ma Chu Myat Sandi of Grade-11 of Nay Pyi Taw BEHS No
5 spoke words of thanks.
The Senior General and party had
documentary photos taken together with outstanding students. Then, the Senior
General cordially greeted outstanding students.
