THE State Administration Council enacted the Union Tax Law 2023 as its law No 18/2023 under Section 419 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on 30 March.
The receipt of tax of the Union in the Budget Law is the original estimate for the collection of taxes of the Union in schedule 1 of this Law for the relevant financial year.
The law was signed by Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing under Section 419 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
The law shall come into effect from 1 April 2023.
