UNION Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Aung Thaw attended the closing ceremony of the Tourism Research Project implemented through the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund 2021 in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the event, the Union minister said “The Establishment of Bakery & Pastry Trainings for the Vulnerable Persons Project” is being implemented under the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund 2022 and three further projects have been proposed for 2023.
The project developed with the use of the 2021 Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund benefited the ministry staff, educational staff and teachers regarding the survey and it also organized the research unit for the ministry, conducted a survey on tourism and produced skilled staff for the sustainability of projects.
Moreover, the Ministry is also compiling the guest list of local and foreign tourists daily and all should work together to issue accurate data.
Then, the Chinese Minister Counselor and the ViceChair of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation National Coordination Unit (Myanmar) made remarks respectively.
Then, the Director-General of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism reported on the outcomes of projects, experiences and further work plans.
