RETIRED senior military officers and their wives will attend the 78th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day parade to be held on 27 March 2023 and they now stay at the Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla greeted those retired senior military officers and their wives yesterday evening.
The Senior General and wife greeted the senior military officers and their wives in individuals, asked about health conditions and social requirements and attended to the needs.
During the greeting them, the Senior General discussed political progress of Myanmar, strengthening the genuine, disciplined multiparty democratic system, harmonious efforts in joining hands among the government, the Tatmadaw and the people in building the Union based on democracy and federalism, encouragement for development of Myanmar in all aspects, perpetuity of language, religious and cultural heritages and emergence of human resources, endeavours for constantly serving the interests of the people and the State, preserving the fine traditions of the Tatmaaw generations to generations, and fulfilling the basic needs of Tatmadaw members and families. The retired senior military officers expressed that they took pride in grasping the chance to attend the Armed Forces Day parade; they recognized the Senior General for his utmost efforts for serving the State responsibilities in all aspects and gave words of advice.
