Message from Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Mr Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the 75th Diamond Jubilee of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Russian Federation

ON behalf of the government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and myself, I take great pleasure in conveying our cordial greetings and congratulations to Your Excellency and, through you, to the government of the Russian Federation as we celebrate the 75th Diamond Jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Russian Federation on 18 February 2023. 

The USSR was one of the first countries that Myanmar established diplomatic relations with soon after it gained independence in 1948. Since then, the amicable ties and constructive cooperation between our two countries have strengthened across many areas of common interest.

I truly believe that this special occasion offers us a great opportunity to work together to further consolidate our friendship and usher in a new era that will maximize the vast potential to strengthen our bilateral cooperation. I look forward to an even greater enhancement of our bilateral cooperation through our joint efforts in the coming years for the mutual benefit of our two countries and peoples.

Taking this opportunity, I convey my sincere best wishes to Your Excellency for your personal well-being and happiness as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the Russian Federation.
