ALL participants need to successfully implement five national objectives of the 76th Anniversary of Union Day to be able to shape perpetuity of unity among ethnic national brethren of the Union for sharing the future together, said Chairman of the Central Committee on Organizing the 76th Anniversary of Union Day 2023 Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win at the first meeting of the central committee at the Office of the SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Senior
General said that as the Diamond Jubilee Union Day was successfully marked on
12 February 2022, arrangements are being made to hold the Diamond Jubilee
Independence Day on a grander scale. The 76th Anniversary of Union Day will be
held as usual similar to the 74th Anniversary celebration.
Conveyance of the State flag of the
Republic of the Union of Myanmar to regions and states to spend a night is one
of the essences of the celebration. At the ceremony to mark the Diamond Jubilee
Union Day, the Union flag kept in Yangon City was conveyed to Nay Pyi Taw
Council Area on a grand scale. As a plan was set to convey the Union flag to
respective regions and states once every five years, discussions must focus on
such a measure.
The Vice-Senior General urged all to discuss
necessary measures for the successful holding of the ceremony as the central
committee, the management committee and subcommittees for organizing the
ceremony have been formed. He underlined holding of the ceremonies in line with
the Covid-19 protocols without weakness in security measures.
Chairman of the management committee
Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Tin Oo Lwin reported on the progress of work
by the management committee.
Officials from relevant subcommittees
presented reports on the successful holding of the 76th Anniversary of Union
Day. In his response to the reports, the Vice-Senior General coordinated
necessary measures. Central Committee members Union ministers and those present
took part in the discussions.
In conclusion, the Vice-Senior General
said that as cultural troupes will arrive in early February 2023, relevant
officials need to make necessary preparations. Erection of posters must be
undertaken and the progress of work must be reported in time. The Vice-Senior
General noted that all participants need to successfully implement five
national objectives of the 76th Anniversary of Union Day to shape perpetuity of
unity among ethnic national brethren of the Union and to share the future
together, to forge the spirit on perpetual existence of the Union in mind, to
end armed conflicts among ethnics which emerged together with the independence
and to ensure perpetual existence of the Union with unity of all ethnics, to
restore perpetual peace through unity.
