ARRANGEMENTS have been made to give training to trainees to be able to inspect quality of agricultural equipment manufactured at home and abroad and turn out qualified agricultural machinery operators and produce skilled agricultural machinery operators, said Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo on 9 July in meeting with officials from Myanmar Agricultural Equipment Factory (Ingon) in Kyaukse township, Mandalay Region.
He also unveiled the plan to train
those who completed the technical high school and basic education high school to
become internationally certified skilled technicians and make a bridge for
qualified ones to learn at Government Technical Institute and undergraduate
courses.
Due to the scarcity of farm labour
and climate change, it is necessary to use agricultural implements on a wider
scale for timely cultivation and production. He noted that the ministry
encourages investments of citizens and foreigners for meeting the needs. As a
result, he urged businesspersons to make arrangements to ensure that farmers
have easy access to high quality agricultural implements.
