DEPUTY Minister for Information U Ye Tint met the Khamti district administrator and the secretary of the Naga Self-Administered Zone on 6 April and instructed them to work together with the employees of the Ministry of Information for regional security and development matters.
He also presented them with 300 DVB T2 Set-top boxes donated by the Ministry of Information for local ethnic people and military families to receive television programmes. In the afternoon, he met officials from Homalin, Leshi, Lahe and Nanyun townships, Donhee, Pansawng Htanparkway, Mopainglut and Summarar towns, and the regional commandant at the MRTV Khamti Retransmission Station.
Yesterday morning, the Deputy Minister inspected the Khamti TV Retransmission Station and cordially met with employees of the Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications. Afterwards, he inspected the information and publicity services provided at the District Public Library.
During the meeting with the staff, the Deputy Minister urged the staff to carry out their duties for the local ethnic people despite the lack of access of department heads, to work together with relevant departments for regional development and education programmes for students. He also coordinated the submission of the staff as necessary. MNA
