MoEA family Thingyan festival continues on Akyat Day

 


THE Ministry of Ethnic Affairs Family Thingyan Festival (Akyat Day) continued yesterday morning at the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw, and Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint and his wife, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung, Deputy Minister for Education U Zaw Win and his wife, the MoEA permanent secretary, the directors-general, the deputy directors-general, officials, staffers and families happily participated in the event.

The Thingyan choral dances were performed, and the Union minister and his wife and the deputy minister awarded cash awards to the choral dance troupes.

Afterwards, the Union minister and party enjoyed the water-splashing festivities together with staff and families and were treated to Myanmar traditional food and snacks by the ministry’s staff.
