THE second day of the 57th Myanma Gems Emporium continued yesterday at Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
Expatriate and local jewellers
observed the pearls, jewels and jade sets on display at the Mani Yadana Jade
Hall.
After that, the jewellers inspected
the sets of pearls from Series 1 to Series 220 for sale at the fair and placed
bids inside the tender boxes.
At the exhibition, the bidders for
the 1st to 220th batch of pearls from 330 sets of pearls were opened by the
officials.
In the evening, Chairman of the
Central Committee of the Myanma Gems Emporium and Union Minister for Natural
Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, Deputy Minister U Min
Min Oo and members of the Central Committee of the Emporium observed the
auction of pearls inside the Mani Yadana Jade Hall through an open bidding
system.
On the third day of the exhibition,
out of 330 pearls, lots 221 to 330 were auctioned through open bidding which
will be sold to local and foreign jewelers.
Yesterday, trainees from Shwe Kya
Pin Gems and Jewellery Vocational Training School in Zabuthiri Township, Nay
Pyi Taw observed the pearls, gems and jade sets displayed inside and outside of
the Mani Yadana Jade Hall.
There are also gems and jewellery
shops inside the Mani Yadana Jade Hall, which attracts visitors.
The 57th Myanma Gems Emporium will
be held at Mani Ratana Jade Hall from 22 to 28 April.
A total 120 gems and 2,000 jade
lots will be auctioned through open bidding. They will be sold to local and
foreign jewellers, officials said.
