Three million more doses of Sinovac vaccines from China arrive

 

 

THREE million doses of Sinovac vaccines donated from China arrived in Myanmar on 21 November, it is learnt.

 

 The country has managed to vaccinate students aged 12 and above and, considered prioritized groups, according to the Ministry of Health.

 

Those vaccines arrived in the country, including one million doses on 12 November, one more million doses on 20 November and one million another doses on 21 November, according to the Ministry of Health. The vaccines will be conveyed to the regions and states across the country where necessary.

 

 The ministry reported that Myanmar has already received over 40 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in total, including three million doses were purchased and over nine million doses were donated.

 

The country has been administering vaccinations since January 2021, using the China-made Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines across the country. The Ministry also urged people should receive the full dose of the vaccine and those who have received the first dose to visit the nearest immunization location or near the scheduled date for the second dose.
