At the meeting, the Union
Minister said the status of the work to resume public health services
throughout the country, the assistance of the ministry to those who want to
return to work and the action being taken to the staff who do not return to
work in accordance with the rules and regulations.
Regarding the COVID-19 outbreak,
he said the incidence of the disease is rising again in neighbouring countries,
and our country needs to take precautionary measures to reduce the incidence of
the disease.
He also added the vaccination in
regions and states. The students passed the matriculation exam in 2020 to the
medical universities and related universities, continuing postgraduate courses
at medical universities. He expressed words of thanks to the Myanmar Medical
Council for scrutinizing the Certificate of Good Standing for Myanmar doctors
and the ongoing work during this period.
Chairman of the Myanmar Medical
Council Professor Dr Khin Maung Aye discussed the ongoing works of the council
and the members of the council and executive members participated in the
discussion.
In the afternoon, the Union
Minister and party met with the officials of the COVID-19 Medical Treatment
Centre (Phaungyi) and discussed the acceptance of the COVID-19 patients and the
completion of new wards.
The Union Minister expressed
words of thanks to the Tatmadaw medical corps for the acceptance of the
COVID-19 patients and said the purpose of his visit is to discuss to continue
the medical work of COVID-19 Medical Treatment Centre (Phaunggyi) when the
regular training courses are reopened at the Central Institute of Civil Service
(Lower Myanmar).
During the inspection tour, the
Union Minister checked the construction of the new wards and said the ministry
would provide necessary assistance as soon as possible.—MNA
