To
establish and maintain good relations between locals of Mann Oil Field and
companies doing business there, the MPRL E&P Company conducted a program
inviting suggestions and discussions from locals for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 from
30 October to 29 November.
To
help locals understand its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) works which
include sustainable development plans for locals, and to create mutual trust
and confidence, the MPRL E&P started the program in 2014. For this year,
the program opened with the theme ‘Our village, our family, discuss, and
suggest together’. Mobile cartoons and arts exhibits were organized in the
villages as part of the program.
The
mobile cartoons and art exhibits were shown in villages adjacent to Mann Oil
Field, the Myanma Oil & Gas Enterprise (MOGE) office in Mann Oilfield, and
the MPRL E&P (Mann Oilfield) office. The information programs included face
painting, which attracted several youths and children to the exhibits.
A
total of 1,872 villagers and employees attended the events. Staff from the MPRL
E&P Mann Oilfield and CSR personnel spoke to the locals and asked them for
suggestions.
Similar
programs were held in fiscal years 2016-2017 and 2017-2018, and this was the third
time a program seeking local participation was held by the company.
