Local, foreign media gather news at That Kae Pyin IDP Camp in Sittway

A media team consisting of journalists from eight local and foreign media agencies arrived in Sittway yesterday afternoon to report about Rakhine State stability and development works conducted and status of preparation made to receive returnees. In the evening the media team visited Thet Kae Pyin Relief Camp in Sittway and questioned the people living in the camp about resettlement, education, health, water supply and present living conditions and then toured the camp afterwards.

The media team consisted of media personnel from Nippon TV, TV Asahi, TBS, MIR, VOA, Black Night, MRTV and MNA.

News media groups were sent to gather news for a total of 29 times, once in 2016, eight times in 2017, six times as of end February 2018, and 14 times on the recommendation of Committee for Implementation of the Recommendations on Rakhine State starting from March 2018 at the rate of two trips a month.
