Advisory Forum on National Reconciliation and Peace concludes

THE second-day of the Religions for Peace (RfP) Advisory Forum on National Reconciliation and Peace in Myanmar was held at Myanmar International Convention Centre II in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

At the Advisory Forum, Ms. Piyamal Pichaiwongse, Deputy Liaison Officer from International Labour Organisation, U Aung Naing Oo from Joint Monitoring Committee, RfP Myanmar Women of Faith Network Chairman Daw Yin Yin Maw, Nyein Foundation Executive Director Daw Janan La Htaw and independent researcher U Nay Lin Htike read papers on education sector, equal right for all ethnic nationals & minority groups and duties and responsibilities sector, increasing capacity of women and equal participation sector, relating with youth and youth protection sector and evidence of self-identity, differences and traditional challenges sector.

Next Cardinal Charles Bo, Religions for Peace International and Shanti Ashram of India Director Dr. Vinu Aram and Dr. Din Syamsuddin of Asian Conference of Religions for Peace discussed under the title “Our Common Future and Our Common Efforts.”

Afterwards Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko, RfP Chairperson U Myint Swe and RfP Hon. President Bishop Gunnar Stalsett delivered closing remarks about Religions for Peace Advisory Forum on National Reconciliation and Peace in Myanmar.
