ASEM and Myanmar; ASEM and World

•           After Myanmar has become the ASEAN member since ASEAN summit meeting held at Hanoi, Vietnam in 2014, it has attended every ASEM meeting.

•           ThePresidentlevel representing Myanmar has attended ASEM summit meeting starting from 9th ASEM summit

meeting held at Vientiane, Laos in 2012.

•           Though currently allthe countries ofAsia and Europe are notincluded in ASEM, it represents 70% of World population, 58% of World GDP and 60% of World trade volume.

•           Out of 10 world economic giants 7 economic giants and 12 G-20 countries are included.

•           ASEM is a significant meeting on the stability and development of world economy and politics.
