17th ASEAN ORL-HNS Congress being held

The first ceremony of the 17th ASEAN-ORL-HNS hosted by Myanmar is being held at the Melia Hotel this morning.

Chairperson of the organizing committee, Prof. U Soe Tint opened the ceremony. In the opening speech made by Chief Minister of Yangon Region, U Phyo Min Thein said, “ The latest treatments and techniques for Otorhinolaryngology, head and neck diseases and other related ailments will be available to people for generations to come. He also believes that people who utilize the latest procedures will receive better health care.
At the congress the Otorhinolaryngology specialists from South East Asia and other medical professionals from countries such as America, England and Germany are in attendance and will discuss subjects that are germane to this congress,
This congress had previously been held in Pataya, Thailand since 1981 and other South East Asian countries once every two years.
This year Myanmar is the host country. Before the congress assembled, medical professionals conducted discussions about the latest treatments and procedures concerning Otorhinolaryngology and head and neck diseases. During this conference, Otorhinolaryngology International medicines and related materials were exhibited.
