ASEM Discussions

•           ASEM Discussions are classified into Summit Meeting, Meeting of Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Other Ministers’ Meeting and High Level Officials’ Meeting.

•           ASEMSummitMeeting shall be attended by Head oftheGovernment and it will be held biennially in Asia and Europe in turn.

•           AsASEMcangivedecisiononimportantissues,SummitMeetings are the highest authoritative body.

•           1st Summit Meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand in 1996

•           2nd Summit Meeting was held in London, Britain in 1998

•           3rd Summit Meeting was held in Seoul, South Korea in 2000

•           4th Summit Meeting was held in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2002

•           5th Summit Meeting was held in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2004

•           6th Summit Meeting was held in Helsinki, Finland in 2006

•           7th Summit Meeting was held in Beijing, China in 2008

•           8th Summit Meeting was held in Brussels, Belgian in 2010

•           9th Summit Meeting was held in Vientiane, Laos in 2012

•           10th Summit Meeting was held in Milan, Italy in 2014

•           11th Summit Meeting was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in 2016
