Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits Austria

Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party arrived at the Vienna International Airport, Austria at local standard time 6:45 p.m. on 22 April. The Senior General was welcomed at the airport by the Myanmar Ambassador to Austria U San Lwin and wife, Embassy officials and family members.

On 23 April at 10 a.m. local standard time, the Senior General and party visited the Vienna Museum of Military History.

The museum was built on 15 April 1850 and completed in 1856. The museum exhibits the military historical facts of Austria from about mid-19th century 1867, wars including 1st and 2nd World War in which Austria was involved, in separate halls.

Afterwards, the Senior General and party arrived at the Embassy of Myanmar in Austria at noon local standard time.
The Senior General and wife presented gifts to the Ambassador and wife, Embassy families and trainees attending a medical training course.

After that, the Embassy officials and family members hosted a lunch for the Senior General and party.
